Didya ever notice that most advertisements featuring watches are at 10:10? If you haven’t, keep your eye out now. It’s true.
Why? Most reports say it’s because the clock looks symmetrical at this time, shows off the logo well …
And looks like a great big smile

…Actually, both 4:40 and 10:10 are commonly used. During the 20’s, 30’s and 40’s, shopkeepers would display large clocks that would have advertising slogans written in the open space of the clock face. Just another useless bit of trivia I picked up in my travels…

that’s so weird. are symmetric watch faces more conducive to watch purchases? does anyone buy watches anymore? with the clock on my cell and ipod, it seems watches are dying out.
